Thunder In the Distance

12.0%  Barleywine – American

We brewed this beer and left it to condition and develop deep flavors and aromas to compliment its warming alcohol notes. After 8 months of conditioning this beer is finally ready to be tasted. Starting smooth with aromas of raisin and dark red fruit to honey and graham cracker and then finishing with dark caramel and toffee over a delightful warmth.

Summer Drought

4.8%  Cream Ale

As we roll into the summer doldrums, we decided to brew up a simple yet refreshing beer to quench our thirst on the hottest of summer days. We fermented our house lager yeast strain at a slightly higher than normal temperature for a some subtle yeast character and then left this beer to lager for an ample amount of time. We used a simple grist with an addition of flaked maize to give this beer a light body while remaining dry and drinkable.

It’s officially Oktoberfest season! A season filled with cool nights, colorful views and awesome beers! We brewed this festive beer to be a highly drinkable yet malty way experience the beers of Oktoberfest.

The Farmer Said Apricot

4.7%  Farmhouse Ale – Other

We wait all year for fresh fruits to be ready for harvest. This beer recreates the refreshing feeling of biting into a perfectly ripe apricot on a hot and humid summer day. We chose to use a traditional Norwegian or “Kveik” yeast strain and ferment this beer at extremely warm temperatures lending to a slightly more ester forward fermentation and balancing nicely with the natural acidity from the apricots.

Eye of the Storm (w/ Citra)

6.5%  IPA – American

When you enter the eye of a storm, you enter a calm and balanced place amidst a circle of darkness and destruction. Keeping with the name we wanted to craft an IPA which would bring balance to all beer lovers alike. Just enough malt to round out the bitterness and a perfect platform to showcase subtle nuances of hops pairings, with Ekuanot hops used throughout the brewing process and a 100% Citra dry hop.

Eye of the Storm Mosaic

6.5%  IPA – American

Next up in our series of delicious single dry hopped IPAs is our Eye of the Storm Mosaic. This beer has just enough malt to round out the bitterness and a perfect platform to showcase subtle nuances of hops pairings, with Ekuanot hops used throughout the brewing process and a 100% Mosaic dry hop. This hop profile lends itself to huge mango, stone fruit and berry flavors and aromas.

Harbor of Refuge

8.7%  IPA – Imperial / Double

A big tropical IPA with lactose for added sweetness and body. With Citra and Vic Secret hops in the whirlpool and a %100 Vic Secret Dry hop at a rate of 5.5lbs of hops per barrel this beer is dripping with tropical goodness.

Storm Damage

8.0%  IPA – Imperial / Double

With notes of pine, grapefruit, mango and hint of white peppercorn, this Double India Pale Ale is dripping with hop goodness. We used one of our favorite hop blends, Simcoe & Amarillo, on top of a base of Pale and Crystal malts. This beer is everything you can ask for…Bright hop aromas, big hop flavors and a hoppy bitterness which gives you a perfectly clean finish and keeps you coming back for more!

Aroma/Taste – Pine, Dank, Grapefruit, Bright Hoppiness

Imperial Storm Cloud

8.3%  IPA – New England

Hot and hazy summer days bring dark clouds and strong storms just like our Imperial Storm Cloud. Once again, we used a large portion of flaked oats and wheat in the mash to provide a rich mouth feel. Subtle caramel malts were added to provide balance and sweetness to the massive dry hop additions. We selected a delicious blend of Idaho 7, Amarillo and Australian Ella hop to provide bold tropical and citrus forward flavors of Mango, Tangerine and Passion Fruit.

All Together

6.5%  IPA – New England

This recipe which consisted of a slight bittering hop charge followed by a big whirlpool addition of cascade and mosaic. We decided to push the limit and increased the already massive dry hop of Simcoe, Citra, Casacade and Mosaic by almost 1.5 times to 7lbs/bbl!

Imperial Storm Cloud

5.3%  Lager – Munich Dunkel

Whether you’re at Oktoberfest or sitting in the stands of a fall football game, finding a delicious full bodied and drinkable beer is key. With notes of biscuit & dark bread crust to molasses & honey this beer is the perfect pairing for raking leaves, rich soups or sitting down and watching a game. This beer went through a traditional long lagering phase which smoothed out the finish while still leaving that distinctive lager yeast character

Dew Point

5.0%  Pale Ale – New England

Dew Point was brewed to be a crushable and refreshing pale ale for a hot and humid summer day. Dry hopped with Sabro and Enigma hops, this beer explodes with tropical and stone fruit flavors.

Long Days And Summer Waves

5.2%  Pilsner – Other

True to its name, this beer was brewed to embody the refreshing feeling of a crisp and clean beer after a long day of summer waves down the shore. This beer uses a classic pilsner recipe brewed with Czech Saaz, German Tetnanger hops and a small addition of rice in the mash. The rice lends to a slight nutty note while keeping the dry dry and crisp.

New World Pilsner

5.3%  Pilsner – Other

We brewed New World Pilsner to be a perfect balance of light malt and grapefruit flavors with a refreshing citrus peel finish that can be enjoyed on any occasion. We kept the grain bill very simple but broke from traditional recipes by adding a small amount of malted wheat to aid with body and mouthfeel. We sourced Australian Ella hops for their unique citrus and floral characteristics to compliment the flavors and aromas of this beer. New World Pilsner finishes slightly more bitter than traditional pilsners, giving your palette a refreshing and delicious experience to remember.

Snowtober

9.0%  Porter – Imperial / Double

Just like the October snowstorm that covered the area in deep snow, this big bold porter is layered with multiple dark and crystal malts with a moderate dose of lactose to round out the body. To finish off this bold porter, we added roasted coffee and pounds of vanilla beans to create a Snowtober Storm to be remembered!

Uncharted Waters Peach, Mango And Guava

6.2%  Sour – Fruited

Reminiscent of the tropical cocktail with an umbrella this beer was brewed to push boundaries and sets Jersey Cyclone on course for truly uncharted waters. We brewed a simple beer base that we added lactose to and left to sour in our kettle. We then fermented this tasty brew before adding a large amount of delicious Peach, Mango and Guava puree, then was left to condition on vanilla beans. This beer is tart, sweet and packs tons of tropical vanilla fruit forward flavors.

This simple base beer ended up as anything but basic after in was soured in our kettle and with the addition of lactose. From there the beer fermented as normal before a ample addition of fruit purees and vanilla bean. This beer is tart yet sweet with tropical notes.

Reminiscent of a tart blueberry dessert, this beer was brewed to push boundaries and sets Jersey Cyclone on course for truly uncharted waters. We brewed a simple beer base that we added cinnamon and lactose to and left to sour in our kettle. We then fermented this tasty brew before adding a large amount of delicious blueberry puree. This beer is tart yet sweet with undertones of cinnamon and oats.

We decided to stay well within bounds of this iconic beer style by crafting this delicious session-able beer. We started with classic ingredients and then added roasted oats to create a slightly smoother body and mouthfeel while adding a beautiful warm toasted and nutty note.
